All of our dive knives, rescue knives and tactical knives come equipped with a KYDEX® quick-release sheath. The following video provides tips for quickly removing the knife from the sheath. https://youtu.be/pIz4zAD2AD4.
A few tips to remember:
- Grip the handle firmly
- Press your thumb against the back of the upper portion of the sheath
- Make sure that the thumb is oriented towards the bottom of the knife
- If you grip the handle and your thumb ends up above the knife, you will not be able to disengage it with one hand; for a one-handed release, the thumb must be touching the top of the back portion of the sheath when gripping the knife handle
When you need a reliable dive knife, reach for the Saturna™ Blunt-Tip Dive Knife by M Essentials™. For a good rescue knife, we recommend the Blakely™ Rescue Knife by M Essentials. And when you need a high-quality, fixed-blade tactical knife, only the Utility Knife by McNett® Tactical will suffice.
