QUESTIONS?

What can Campsuds be used to clean?

Campsuds is an all-purpose outdoor soap that can be used to wash dishes, cookware, utensils, body, clothing, and many types of outdoor gear. Its versatile formula helps simplify camp cleanup by handling multiple cleaning tasks with a single bottle.

Why choose Campsuds over regular soap?

Campsuds helps reduce pack weight and save space by replacing multiple cleaning products with one concentrated solution. A few drops are typically all you need, making each bottle go a long way whether you're camping, backpacking, overlanding, or traveling.

Is Campsuds biodegradable?

Yes. Campsuds is formulated with biodegradable ingredients, making it a great choice for outdoor adventures. However, biodegradability does not mean soap should be used directly in lakes, rivers, streams, or other water sources. To help protect fragile ecosystems, follow Leave No Trace principles by washing and disposing of wastewater at least 200 feet (70 adult steps) from any water source, trail, or campsite. This is especially important in alpine and wilderness environments, where cold temperatures and sensitive soils can slow the natural breakdown process. By using Campsuds responsibly, you can help minimize your impact while keeping the places you love wild and clean.

Does Campsuds have a fragrance?

Yes. Original Campsuds has a light, refreshing citrus scent from a blend of natural lemon and lime essential oils. The clean fragrance leaves hands, clothing, dishes, and gear smelling fresh without being overpowering.

For those who prefer an alternative scent, Campsuds is also available in a Citronella version made with citronella, peppermint, and lavender essential oils. This unique blend provides a fresh herbal aroma that many campers enjoy around camp and on outdoor adventures, and may help deter bugs.

How long has Campsuds been around?

Campsuds has been a trusted part of outdoor adventures since 1968. As one of the original biodegradable camp soaps, it helped establish the camp soap category and has remained a favorite among campers, backpackers, paddlers, travelers, and outdoor professionals for decades. Today, Campsuds is proudly part of the GEAR AID family, continuing its long tradition of helping people stay clean and comfortable wherever their adventures take them.
